“Deluge: A Chinese Almanac” wins the 2024 Palette Poetry Previously Published Poem Prize!

I’m so very honoured and grateful to have won the 2024 Palette Poetry Previously Published Poem Prize for “Deluge: A Chinese Almanac,” first published in Gulf Coast Journal! “Deluge: A Chinese Almanac” is based on Yé Xiàn, the origin story for Cinderella. The prize included cash, a broadside, and an interview, which will come out soon. I’m also grateful to the editors at Palette Poetry and Gulf Coast Journal for their support over the past year. Huge congratulations too to the runners up and finalists for their incredible poems!

An interview with the editors about the writing process of “Deluge: A Chinese Almanac” can be found here.
